Nestlé Novasource GI Control Vanilla Flavor 500ml is a complete, normocaloric (1.1 kcal/ml), normoproteic polymeric formula enriched with soluble fiber from partially hydrolyzed guar gum (PHGG). It is indicated for adults and children over 3 years of age who require nutritional support and have intestinal or colon mucosal dysfunction, compromising digestion, absorption, or food tolerance. Each 500ml pack provides approximately 550 kcal, 20.5g of protein, 10.5g of fiber, and about 500mg of omega-3 fatty acids, ensuring a balanced intake of macronutrients and micronutrients. Its composition allows it to meet the nutritional needs of patients in specific clinical situations and can be used as exclusive or complementary food, according to the guidance of a healthcare professional. The soluble fiber PHGG plays an important role in maintaining the intestinal microbiota and normalizing intestinal transit. This characteristic makes the formula particularly suitable for the nutritional management of diarrhea associated with enteral nutrition, inflammatory bowel disease, irritable bowel syndrome, colon surgery, enteritis induced by chemotherapy or radiotherapy, and during the transition from parenteral to enteral nutrition. Clinically lactose-free and gluten-free, it has a vanilla flavor and can be administered orally or via enteral feeding tube. The formula is ready to consume, facilitating its use in hospital or home settings.
