Contains two active moisturizing ingredients – Sodium Hyaluronate and Dexpanthenol (or Provitamin B5) – which work together for optimal hydration. What is Bepanthene Ophthalmic Drops and what is it used for?Bepanthene Ophthalmic Drops forms a sterile, preservative-free, viscoelastic, clear film that protects the cornea, moisturizing and relieving the discomfort associated with dry eyes. Contains Sodium Hyaluronate, the sodium salt of hyaluronic acid, which, due to its physical properties, forms a uniform, consistent and long-lasting protective film for the epithelial layer of the eye without compromising vision. Additionally, Bepanthene Ophthalmic Drops contains Pro-vitamin B5. The combination of Sodium Hyaluronate (which stabilizes the tear film) and Dexpantenol - Provitamin B5- (which maintains hydration and soothes) protects, hydrates and lubricates the ocular surface. As a result, Bepanthene Ophthalmic Drops alleviates prolonged discomfort associated with: - mechanical stress, for example while wearing hard or soft contact lenses, or during ophthalmic diagnostic procedures; - environmental stress, for example induced by air conditioning, wind, cold or dry environments, or polluted air, in particular by cigarette smoke; - visual stress resulting from eye strain, for example at the computer screen, under a microscope or during prolonged driving.
